Water Sports
Nearby Loch Scammadale is a great space for a variety of water-based activities and you can launch paddle-boards, dinghies, rowing boats, canoes and kayaks into the water direct from the field. Temporary parking is available off the road (please note, no overnight-parking).
Plenty of paddle-boarders can be found circumnavigating its length and although we don’t have any boards ourselves there is lots of storage space if you want to bring yours.
We also have a blow-up canoe that you can borrow for a day trip down to a nearby beach or river if you are embarking on a day trip. Please note all necessary precautions must be taken and water code of conducts and safety followed at all times.
Swimming
If outdoor swimming is your thing then there are literally dozens of places to enjoy a long dip or a quick plunge straight from our doorstep.
Further afield there lots of accessible beaches from which you can either brave the Atlantic or take a dip in a more sheltered sea loch (Loch Feochan being the closest). Please be aware of the tides which are very strong around here and all necessary precautions must be taken.
